Roland SR-JV80-03 Acoustic Piano Expansion Board - for Roland JV Synths

The SR-JV80-03 "Piano" expansion board was the third in the Roland SR-JV80-series of expansion boards for the XP/JV synthesizers.

The Piano board features 111 patches of well-recorded exemplars of grand, upright, electric pianos, and a collection of other keyboards.

Great importance is given to the programming of each patch, to make the sounds very playable and expressive.

Patches range from the very-classical to the very-pop, and many of them benefit from generous doses of reverb and other effects - courtesy of the XP/JV series sound engine that typically sports the high-quality Roland FX processor.

This board is perfect if you write pop, ballads, new age, jazz, and classical - and any other genre that requires realistic piano and keyboard sounds.

The JV-80 and JV-880 only had room for one expansion board, but since the cards were successful, Roland started adding room for more than just only one - case in point, when they produced the incredibly successful module JV-1080 (that was considered and still is, an "industry standard for ROMplers"), they offered room for four expansion boards.  Just a few years later, Roland offered eight slots in their JV-2080, the successor to the 1080.

These items were acquired from a music store that was an authorized Roland dealer; they were new stock on the sales floor when we bought their stock out. These are being sold in New Old Stock condition. We do not have the synthesizer to test them with, so if you purchase one and it doesn't work, pay return shipping and we will refund you. We're very certain these should all still work flawlessly as they are still new in box.
