Roland M-16C Memory Cartridge - for GR700 & other Roland Vintage Analog Synths - New Old Stock
Quote from a web resource listed below:
The M-16C is used to store patches and expand the memory of various vintage Roland synthesizers. This cartridge can be used with the Roland GR-700, JX-3P, MKS-10, MKS-20, MKS-30, TR-707, JX-8P and JX-10.
The M-16C was part of a trio of memory cartridges. Along with the M-16C there is the very rare M-32C, and the M-64C. Inside the M-16C is a 8 x 2K static RAM chip with a lithium battery to power the chip and protect the memory contents.
"The originally projected life span of the battery was five years, but many of these batteries are still at work twenty-five years later. However, I have seen a few GR-700 circuit boards, and a few M-16Cs, with dead batteries. Replacing the battery is a bit of work, you will need some desoldering tools, and patience getting the pins lined up when installing the new battery."
see how here: https://www.joness.com/gr300/M-16C.htmThese items were acquired from a music store that was an authorized Roland dealer; they were new stock on the sales floor when we bought their stock out. These are being sold in New Old Stock condition. We do not have the synthesizer to test them with, so if you purchase one and it doesn't work, pay return shipping and we will refund you. We're very certain these should all still work flawlessly as they are still new in box (apart from the battery replacement).
No reasonable offer will be refused.
